Is there a way to clean this? It feels just a bit and GRIMEY afraid to try something without an entry from someone who knows more about computers than I do. Thank you!

Well, I still open the laptop on the inside of Pureland, clean every 6 months, but you can try to clean with a damp cloth, then with a dry cloth. That's what I had before.

dont you use lots of water, enough to wet cloth.
even if you try to avoid ur laptop computer, food (especially fatty foods), because that is when most of the trash going into the platform
