I have a new computer mouse and fly randomly across the screen now, if I do. I tried changing the mouse and change the mouse settings - help?

If there is a laser mouse, could use the surface is too bright. I know sometimes when a mouse pad, which is brighter than the laser response in the mouse on the reflection of light as the surface and randomly spaz out.
